Paige Helen Rhyne is a rising ninth grader at the Mifflinburg Area High School. She is the daughter of Darren and Tammy Rhyne of New Berlin. Paige shows market and breeding animals at the Union County West End Fair and the Bloomsburg Fair as a member of the Good Time 4-H club of Mifflinburg. Those animals include Hampshire and Southdown sheep, Nubian Dairy goats, boer goats , market swine and dairy beef. She is the vice president of programming of the Good Time 4-H club and president of the Lucky Clovers 4-H club that concentrates on Theatre Arts. In addition to her 4-H activities, Paige ran on the Mifflinburg Area Middle School Cross Country team the past 2 years and will run on the high school team this fall. Running is her passion. She runs over 25 five kilometer races a year and ran her first half marathon in the spring of 2018. In addition to athletics, Paige maintained an A-average throughout her middle school career, attaining membership in the National Junior Honor Society and receiving the Presidential Academic Fitness Medal. She received the Good Citizenship award for the 8th grade. In July of 2018, Paige earned her Girl Scout Silver award for her community service efforts. In August 2017, Paige won the Union County West End Fair Princess competition and returns to compete for it again on August 5th.
