ENTRY FEE:<\/strong> $3.00 per animal<\/p>\n

Payment is due with entry form and must be postmarked by\u00a0<\/strong>July 7.\u00a0There will be absolutely no substitutions after the July 7 Entry Deadline, including arrival day at the fair.<\/em><\/p>\n

4-H and FFA Entries are limited to members of Union County 4-H and the following FFA Chapters: Lewisburg, Mifflinburg and Milton.<\/em><\/p>\n

Due to the threat of the African Swine Fever, ALL SWINE<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • MUST be checked in by the state veterinarian on Sunday , 8\/04\/2024, from 6:30 to 8:30 AM before entering the fairgrounds.<\/li>\n
  • MUST be sent to slaughter by a USDA licensed butcher per the General Quarantine Order issued by the PA Dept. of Agriculture.<\/li>\n
  • arriving after 8:30 am will be sent home.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Market Swine Show Sponsor:\u00a0 <\/strong>Boop’s Family Hog Farm, LLC – $50 and Swine Award to the Grand Champion Market Hog<\/span><\/p>\n

    Swine for exhibition in PA are still NOT ALLOWED to be identified with a non-RFID 840 tag (a 15 digit tag that cannot be read with a RFID reader)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. 4H & FFA members must be present and have charge of their animals at the time of judging.<\/li>\n
    2. Animals must be tagged during the designated tagging time at the fairgrounds. 2024 dates: 5\/11 and 5\/15.<\/strong>\u00a0A maximum of four animals may be tagged and a maximum of two animals shown.<\/li>\n
    3. All market swine must have an official Certificate of Veterinary inspection issued within 30 days prior to the date of the show and a scannable 840 RFID ear tag.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. All market animals will be weighed at the time and place designated by the livestock sale committee.<\/li>\n
    5. Prior to judging, all swine shall be washed and properly fitted. If clipped, must be 3\/4\u201d or longer. No fitting products are to be used. Failure to comply will result in forfeit of lot(s) in the livestock sale.<\/li>\n
    6. Swine must be bedded with\u00a0pine shavings only. No straw or sawdust permitted.<\/span><\/li>\n
    7. Due to weight variances and weight limits, the number of weight classes will be set by the fair.<\/li>\n
    8. Animals to be sold at the Livestock Sale must weigh between 220 to 290 lbs. at weigh-in.<\/li>\n
    9. 3 divisions will be implemented during the show – light weight, medium weight, and heavy weight, to alleviate the large number of pigs in the final drive. No premiums will be awarded for division winners.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      The Smith Family will be donating an award for the best two pigs bred and born in Union County.<\/p>\n
