{"id":5182,"date":"2017-03-27T14:37:12","date_gmt":"2017-03-27T18:37:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ucwef.com\/?page_id=5182"},"modified":"2023-06-17T11:01:54","modified_gmt":"2023-06-17T15:01:54","slug":"fair-princess","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ucwef.com\/union-county-west-end-fair-queen\/fair-princess\/","title":{"rendered":"Fair Princess (ages 12-15)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>CONTACT: <\/strong> Sarah Eichenlaub | 570-716-6250 | <a href=\"mailto:seike2012@gmail.com\">seike2012@gmail.com<\/a><br \/>\n\n<p><em>TBA &#8211; Parent\/Contestant Meeting and Dress Rehearsal\u00a0at the Fairgrounds<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>Entry Requirements<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"ddownloads_list category-Pageants list-title\"><li><a href=\"https:\/\/ucwef.com\/?ddownload=6139\" title=\"Fair Queen Application\" rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"id-6139 ext-pdf\">Fair Queen Application<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/ucwef.com\/?ddownload=6142\" title=\"Little Miss Application &#8211; Ages 8-11\" rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"id-6142 ext-pdf\">Little Miss Application &#8211; Ages 8-11<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/ucwef.com\/?ddownload=6141\" title=\"Princess Application &#8211; Ages 12-15\" rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"id-6141 ext-pdf\">Princess Application &#8211; Ages 12-15<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/ucwef.com\/?ddownload=6144\" title=\"Tiny Tassel Application &#8211; Ages 5-7\" rel=\"nofollow\" class=\"id-6144 ext-pdf\">Tiny Tassel Application &#8211; Ages 5-7<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n<p>Contestants must complete and submit the Application and Registration Packet by July 8 to:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Sarah Eichenlaub<br \/>\n2808 New Berlin Mountain Rd.<br \/>\nMifflinburg, PA 17844<\/p>\n<p>Each contestant must:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Be a female resident of Union County, Pennsylvania.<\/li>\n<li>Be at least 12 years of age and not over 15 years of age by June 1 of the year entering the pageant.<\/li>\n<li>Have written consent from parents or guardians.<\/li>\n<li>Dress in Sunday Best or Flower Girl dress.<\/li>\n<li>Attend rehearsal and the pageant.<\/li>\n<li>Must not participate or hold title in any other pageant during her reign.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Contestants will compete in:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Submit a 75-150 word typewritten essay on \u201cWhat My Fair Means to My Community.\u201d<\/li>\n<li>Interview with the Pageant Judges.<\/li>\n<li>Poise and presentation (appearance and neatness) during the contestant introductions on stage.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate (speaking ability) during the question and answer segment on stage.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Responsibilities of the Princess:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Help out during fair week if available (help pass out ribbons at livestock shows, Kids Day, etc.) at the Queen and Fair Queen Committee\u2019s discretion.<\/li>\n<li>Attend Christkindl Market and help pass out candy canes with next year\u2019s fair dates on.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in local parades.<\/li>\n<li>Attend next year&#8217;s West End Fair Pageant.<\/li>\n<li>Attend other events as requested by the Fair Queen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The Princess will receive a crown and sash.
